How’s it going? This is Luis Angel, your memory coach with AE Mind!

We all know that there are 8 Planets (The ex 9th planet, Pluto, was demoted and is now considered a Dwarf Planet thanks to Neil Degrasse Tyson and other Astrophysicist in the Science Community) in our Solar System. These planets rotate round and round our home star called the Sun.

Our Solar System rotates alongside other planetary systems, around a black hole in the Milky Way Galaxy.

There are hundreds of billions of these galaxies in our ever expanding Universe!

So let’s focus back on our 8 planets. How do we remember the order of the rocks floating in space?

It’s simple.

How to Remember the Planets in Order Using Memory Techniques

  • Step 1. Create a Memory Palace Location.
  • Step 2. Visualize the mnemonic associations for each planet on the location.
  • Step 3. Review the mnemonic stories of the planets that you created in the correct order.

This is the AE MIND MEMORY SYSTEM.

Location

Create locations by imagining that you are walking around your home and choose different spots as storage places.

Create a Memory Palace with 4 Rooms in your Home

Choose 5 Locations in Each Room

You can see the Memory Palace Video here that teaches you step-by-step how to create your own memory map to memorize anything quickly and easily, including the planets.

Visualize

Then you use the following images to help you remember that the planets go in that specific order.

1. Mercury Mnemonic = Element Mercury

2. Venus Mnemonic = Venus Williams or Venus Razor

3. Earth Mnemonic = Globe

4. Mars Mnemonic = Martian

5. Jupiter Mnemonic = Jumping Tar

6. Saturn Mnemonic = Rings

7. Uranus Mnemonic = Your Asparagus

8. Neptune Mnemonic = Nap Tune (Pillow with Headphones)

*9. Pluto Mnemonic = Pluto the Dog (now considered a Dwarf Planet)

Visualize each one of these images along a specific route in your home. 1st Image of Mercury to the 1st location in your home. 2nd one to the 2nd and so on…

For example. On the first location, you will see a thermometer breaking and spilling mercury all over that location. When you see that story on that location, you will be able to remember that the first planet is Mercury.

On the 2nd location, you will imagine Venus Williams playing tennis and hitting several balls back and forth on to that location. Venus Williams represents the second planet, Venus.

Review

Then Make sure to review. Make the Images and Creative Stories more vivid by adding all of your senses. What do you See, Hear, Smell, Taste, Feel..

That’s it!
