I remember working at T-Mobile, selling cell phones, and just thinking to myself, I have to do every single task that I’m doing right now to the best of my abilities. Not necessarily to get a raise and not necessarily to move up and get a promotion, but just because I wanted to master that task at hand. If I did that, I knew that that was going to carry forward into every other area of my life. And so I did, whenever I needed to sweep something, I made sure to sweep every single piece of trash that was on the floor. Whenever I needed to sell a certain cell phone, I made sure to look up all the facts, all the details, all the emotional connections that a person can have with a phone, and why they needed this particular phone. I did all of that, all the background work. When it was time to close up, I made sure to clean everything. I made sure to put everything back the way that it needed to. I made sure to organize, so I did every single thing that I had to do and when it was time to downsize and they had to fire off some people with that cell phone company that I was with, I was the only one left standing.

They kept me because they knew how much value I provided to that company. That went on in every other company that I work with even onto when I started off in my own business endeavors. I gave it my all. It was a struggle at first, but I followed what was in this book. I followed it to a T and then afterward, once I saw the success that it was bringing, that’s when I started modifying. That’s when I started changing things up. Taking all the contents of the book and then applying my own personal experiences and things that have gotten me to a certain point of success outside of this book as well and meshing these two concepts together or a multitude of concepts for that matter. I didn’t waiver. I followed it.

When I raised that trophy as the first memory master champion, and then when I started success after success in my business life, I started gaining more income and being able to help out more people, that’s when I started to diversify the means that which I was able to stretch my hands out to help people. We started going out and every single Tuesday feeding the homeless, even though in the book it is kind of counter to that idea of necessarily helping out others because it does say to focus more on your growth, focus on you getting rich. But then once you’re there, then I feel that that’s when you can go out and do lend a helping hand. But even as you’re going up, it’s okay to volunteer your time, your energy, your efforts to good causes outside of just focusing on you.

That’s where I had to evolve my, my frame of thought, but overall this book is amazing. Go through it again and again. Find those pieces that are going to work for you right now. Modify along the way as you start experiencing life. But definitely stick to the plan. Focus on what’s in this book. I hope you enjoyed this and I hope to see you at the top.
