Having cold drinking water ready whenever you want it is great. Buying, storing, lifting, and swapping those big water jugs is not.
That’s what I like about the Avalon Self Cleaning Bottleless Water Cooler Dispenser. Instead of a bottle sitting on top or underneath, it connects directly to a water line and filters the water before dispensing it.
In this Avalon bottleless water dispenser review, I’ll cover what it is, the specs, the key features, how I used it, the pros and cons, who it’s for, and some common questions.

How I Used It
The biggest reason I like this dispenser is the bottleless design. I don’t have to keep buying, lifting, and replacing those large water bottles. It connects directly to a water line and filters the water before dispensing it.
The filtering happens through the dual filter system. A sediment filter and a carbon block filter work together on the water coming in. Avalon says the filters last about six months or 1,500 gallons, depending on use and water conditions.
Having three temperatures is really useful. I like having cold water ready to drink without keeping bottles in the refrigerator, room temperature water when I don’t want it chilled, and hot water whenever I need it.
There’s a child safety lock on the hot water spout as well, which is an important feature considering how hot the water can get.
When it’s eventually time to change the filters, there’s a filter replacement indicator that lets you know, so you don’t have to track it yourself. The built-in nightlight makes the spouts easy to see in a dark room, and the stainless steel cabinet gives it a clean look.
I also like the self-cleaning function. Avalon says it sanitizes and cleans the dispenser internally, which matters for something you drink from every day.
What Amazon Buyers Say
Amazon’s review summary says buyers find the quality excellent and installation easy, with one buyer calling the push-in connections simple. They also find it more convenient than buying water. Water temperature and taste get mixed feedback, with some buyers reporting only room-temperature water or a plastic-like taste. It holds a 3.9 out of 5 star rating at the time of writing.
