This WINBOT W2 Pro Omni review finds a robot that cleans large windows thoroughly and makes ladder jobs unnecessary, according to Erin Lawrence, a YouTube home-tech reviewer, who used it on her home’s high exterior windows and said it saved her at least half a day of work.
The W2 PRO Omni was $379.00 on Amazon on October 16, 2026, well below the roughly $699 Erin Lawrence quoted at the time of her video, and ECOVACS now also sells the upgraded W2S PRO Omni.

What comes in the box
The robot ships inside its station, which doubles as a battery pack, a carry case and a cable reel, Erin Lawrence showed. The whole station weighed about 5 kg in her test, and the square robot measured about 27 cm (10 in) across and 7 cm (3 in) thick. The automatically retracting power cable runs about 5.5 m (18 ft). Stored in the back are an anchor cable and carabiner, a spare microfiber pad and the charging plug, plus a small bottle of ECOVACS cleanser.
How to use it
- Charge the station, then pull the robot out with a bit of cable slack.
- Fill the solution tank under the silicone tab on top; Erin Lawrence said there is no need to dilute ECOVACS’ cleanser.
- Power on the station, press the robot to the glass and press its own power button to start suction.
- Let go when it confirms by voice. It feels out the window size, then cleans in overlapping rows, spraying from front and back.
- When done, rinse or launder the pad and press the retract button to reel in the cable.
WINBOT W2 Pro Omni review: cleaning results
Erin Lawrence timed about 6 minutes for her large panes and just under 2 minutes for smaller ones, and her first session of two large and two small exterior windows took just over 20 minutes. She said her dusty, sun-lit windows looked drastically better afterward. On frameless shower glass, the robot sensed the edges and never lost contact, she said. The ECOVACS app offers fast, thorough, heavy-duty, deep and edge modes, but the robot also works without the app.
TechnologyX AI credited the three-nozzle spray, which ECOVACS says doubles water pressure over older models, and WIN-SLAM 4.0 path planning, which it said lets the robot move with purpose rather than bouncing around.
Battery and safety
ECOVACS lists up to 110 minutes on battery, and Erin Lawrence measured about 90 minutes to recharge, though the robot also runs while plugged in. She said its gravity-acceleration sensor and 5,500Pa suction kept it firmly attached, and if the battery runs low it stays suctioned for about 30 more minutes. The anchor cable and carabiner clip to a railing or heavy furniture as a backup. ECOVACS lists a 12-stage protection system.
Where it shines
- High windows: stick it to a corner you can reach and it climbs the rest, Erin Lawrence said, with no ladder or bucket.
- Big panes: start it and do something else.
- Businesses with lots of glass: she said it could save on professional cleaning.
- Floor-to-ceiling, tilting and frameless windows: supported, with a minimum glass thickness of about 3 mm and about 99.5% edge coverage, per her review.
Small hassles to know
Erin Lawrence found the cable retract button sometimes needed a deliberate press and hold, especially if the cable caught on something. It also cannot do very small panes, irregular shapes or glass with seams, and it is limited to panes of roughly 2.5 by 4 m by the cable length, though she said setting the station on a table can add reach.
W2 PRO Omni vs W2S PRO Omni
The ECOVACS WINBOT W2S PRO Omni ($499.00) raises listed suction to 10,000Pa, adds TruEdge 2.0 brushes on all four corners and enlarges the tank to cover up to 807 square feet per fill, according to ECOVACS. MW Technology’s main gripes were rinsing the pads and edge brushes every two to three cycles. If that sounds like a chore, the ECOVACS WINBOT W3 Omni washes its pads in the station. Windows these robots cannot clean
- Curved or uneven glass: VittorTech said any curve or interruption in flat glass breaks the suction seal.
- Divided panes and seams: Erin Lawrence said seams can disrupt suction, and MW Technology said you must move the robot to each separate pane.
- Very small panes: Erin Lawrence said very tiny panes are a poor fit; the compact WINBOT MINI 2 lists the smallest footprint in ECOVACS’ lineup.
- Very large panes: the 5.5 m cable limits a single pane to about 8 m by 2.5 m, according to VittorTech.
- Weather: VittorTech said ECOVACS advises against heavy condensation, oily glass and temperatures below 0°C or above 40°C.
