Mini Scuba Tank for Shallow Diving: RISWAVEO 1.0L

The RISWAVEO 1.0L mini scuba tank (model S400Plus) is a compact, refillable aluminum cylinder with a regulator, shutoff valve and carrying bag that I took to Laguna Beach, California. In my YouTube video I walk through the portable design on the sand, show the harness and bag, and talk through capacity limits and safety as an advanced certified scuba diver — this is a product overview, not dive instruction.

This mini scuba tank review stays centered on what that Laguna Beach walkthrough covers: the 1.0-liter / 200-bar cylinder, manufacturer breath claims, valve and regulator hardware, refill notes, and why training and air management matter before anyone breathes compressed air underwater.

Safety first

I am an advanced certified scuba diver with formal scuba training. Only properly trained and certified divers should use compressed-air diving equipment like this. Breathing compressed air underwater involves risks including lung overexpansion injuries, decompression illness, drowning and equipment failure. Never hold your breath while ascending, even in shallow water. Dive with a buddy, follow established procedures, and have equipment professionally inspected.

A mini scuba tank is not a substitute for a complete scuba system or a class. My Laguna Beach footage is meant to show the product’s size and features in a coastal setting while stressing those limits.

What is the RISWAVEO 1.0L mini scuba tank?

RISWAVEO lists the S400Plus as a 1.0-liter aluminum cylinder with a maximum working pressure around 200 bar / 3,000 PSI, roughly 200 liters of air at surface pressure when full, a manufacturer claim of about 75 breaths at 16 feet, 6061 aluminum with a corrosion-resistant finish, about 4 mm wall thickness, an air shutoff valve and pressure regulator, an advertised overpressure relief feature, an 8 mm one-way fill connection, and a carrying bag. The tank ships empty, without compressed air.

On camera the black cylinder is small enough to hold in one hand next to the harness, which is the visual that separates this class from a full-size AL80 on a boat deck.

Laguna Beach walkthrough

Black RISWAVEO cylinder with logo at Laguna Beach.

I took the RISWAVEO to Laguna Beach to show the compact cylinder against ocean, cliff and palm-tree backdrop. Holding the tank upright and horizontal on the sand makes the scale obvious: this is a pony-bottle-class cylinder, not a primary tank for a long reef dive.

As an advanced certified diver, I use that beach setting to talk about training, inspections and air management rather than to encourage untrained buyers to jump in with a new mini tank. The coastal footage is context for portability, not a how-to dive lesson.

Air capacity and breathing time

At 1 liter internal volume and an advertised 200-bar working pressure, the pack holds roughly 200 liters of air at surface pressure when full. RISWAVEO advertises about 75 breaths at 16 feet, but that is not a guaranteed duration. Consumption rises with depth, workload and anxiety, and you still need a reserve for a safe ascent.

Limited capacity is the biggest practical constraint even in shallow water. My video treats the breath claim as a manufacturer figure to understand, not a stopwatch result I clocked on camera.

Cylinder, valve and regulator

The 6061 aluminum body with a corrosion-resistant finish is aimed at seawater use. On the beach I show the shutoff, pressure gauge and regulator hose, plus the harness straps that carry the cylinder. RISWAVEO also advertises an overpressure relief feature. Compatibility, inspection status and service intervals should be verified by a qualified dive professional before use.

Those hardware close-ups are the heart of the video for shoppers comparing mini tanks: you can see the gauge, mouthpiece hose and blue control knob without a studio product table.

Carry bag and refilling

The included bag makes the kit easier to walk down a beach path than a bare cylinder. The tank arrives empty. RISWAVEO describes refills through compatible high-pressure equipment or a dive shop. Only breathing-quality air should be used, and filling must respect the cylinder’s pressure rating, certification and inspection rules — check with a qualified shop before you try to fill it.

Hand pumps and compressors are often sold separately and must support the 3,000 PSI / 200 bar class. My overview does not demonstrate a fill cycle; it flags the empty-ship reality so buyers are not surprised.

Who should consider the RISWAVEO 1.0L?

Based on the listing and the Laguna Beach video, this RISWAVEO fits certified divers who want a compact, refillable pony-style cylinder for shallow, carefully planned use and who already understand air management. It is not for untrained swimmers, and it is not a replacement for a full scuba course or a full-size primary tank.

If the small air supply and certification requirements are clear to you, the portable aluminum kit and bag are the features the beach footage is meant to show.
