This Beatbot Sora 10 review finds a budget pool robot that beat pricier rivals. In a 10-robot test by The Hook Up, a YouTube channel that tests pool cleaners every year and says its reviews are not sponsored, the Sora 10 covered 97% of the walls, 100% of the floor and 67% of the stairs and bench in one run, the best coverage of the group (The Hook Up, “2026 Ultimate POOL VACUUM Review”).
The Hook Up called it “the best option for most people” and “probably the most confident that I’ve ever been in a pool vacuum recommendation.” It quoted $499; on Amazon on October 16, 2026, the Sora 10 was $469.00. Brad of Brad’s Projects and Stuff, who received a unit from Beatbot, used it in his above-ground pool and called it better value than the far pricier robots he has tried (Brad’s Projects and Stuff, “Beatbot Sora 10 Review: Is This $500 Cordless Pool Robot Worth It?”; the video was made in a paid partnership with Beatbot, which provided the Sora 10).

The Hook Up’s 2026 Test: How the Sora 10 Compared
The Hook Up ran each robot through one full cleaning cycle in the same pool and tracked coverage, plus separate tests for suction, filtration, waterline cleaning and shallow areas (The Hook Up, “2026 Ultimate POOL VACUUM Review”). The Sora 10 stayed in a hybrid wall-and-floor pattern for its whole 4-hour, 47-minute run.
| Robot (price quoted in video) | Walls | Floor | Stairs and bench |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beatbot Sora 10 ($499) | 97% | 100% | 67% |
| iGuard K70, secondary filter removed | 96% | 100% | 64% |
| MUA Diver A10 ($549) | 76% | 99% | 49% |
| Mimotion Spino E1 ($498) | 47% | 97% | 28% |
Coverage figures are from The Hook Up’s single-run tests; the iGuard was retested without a secondary filter the channel found after its first run.
What the Sora 10 Does Well
Coverage and runtime
Beyond leading on coverage, The Hook Up credited the Sora 10 with strong runtime and good waterline cleaning (The Hook Up, “2026 Ultimate POOL VACUUM Review”). Beatbot lists up to 300 minutes per charge; The Hook Up’s run lasted 4 hours, 47 minutes.
Leaves and large debris
The Hook Up says three things decide leaf pickup: suction strong enough to pull in nearby debris, a design that doesn’t stir leaves up, and bin size (The Hook Up, “2026 Ultimate POOL VACUUM Review”). The Sora 10 was among the robots with enough suction to keep leaves from floating away, and its bin is “nearly double” the size of every other robot’s except the Dolphin, making it “a very strong pick for pools with leaf litter issues.” Beatbot lists a 5-liter basket that holds up to 650 leaves.
The easiest bin to clean
Of the 10 robots, The Hook Up found the Sora 10’s large open-top bin “by far the easiest” to clean (The Hook Up, “2026 Ultimate POOL VACUUM Review”). When drained, it let out just a few particles. Brad agreed that the top-load basket is easy to pull and dump (Brad’s Projects and Stuff, “Beatbot Sora 10 Review: Is This $500 Cordless Pool Robot Worth It?”).
Light enough to lift with one hand
Brad says his higher-end Beatbot is worth four or five times as much, and hauling a soaked 30 lb robot out of his above-ground pool is “an event” (Brad’s Projects and Stuff, “Beatbot Sora 10 Review: Is This $500 Cordless Pool Robot Worth It?”). The Sora 10, under 20 lb, he could lift with one hand. He started a cycle, ran errands, and came back to a pool he called “basically immaculate,” with leaves, sand and gunk gone.
Things to Know Before You Buy
- Fine particles: both reviewers say the 150-micron basket handles leaves and sand but lets pollen, silt and algae through (The Hook Up, “2026 Ultimate POOL VACUUM Review”; Brad’s Projects and Stuff, “Beatbot Sora 10 Review: Is This $500 Cordless Pool Robot Worth It?”). The Hook Up adds that Beatbot’s optional 3-micron filter appears compatible only with the Sora 30. Brad relies on his pool’s sand filter for clear water.
- Shallow sun shelves: the Sora 10 didn’t clean The Hook Up’s 8-inch-deep sun shelf; Beatbot says it can clean in as little as 12 inches of water (The Hook Up, “2026 Ultimate POOL VACUUM Review”).
- No mapping: Brad describes its path as “a bit wandery”: it drifts, doubles back and can miss a patch, and the app goes offline underwater, which he says is common (Brad’s Projects and Stuff, “Beatbot Sora 10 Review: Is This $500 Cordless Pool Robot Worth It?”).
If fine sand or pollen is your main problem, The Hook Up points to the Dolphin Nautilus Eon 100, whose filter holes it called “absolutely tiny” (The Hook Up, “2026 Ultimate POOL VACUUM Review”).
