Roborock Qrevo S Pro vs Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2: Which to Buy? (2026)

The Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 lists 25,000 Pa for $499.98; the $549.99 Qrevo S Pro was the stronger mopper in Vacuum Wars’ tests. Here is how they compare.

In the Roborock Qrevo S Pro vs Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 matchup, the Roborock is the pick for mopping and the Dreame is the pick for raw suction per dollar. The Dreame lists 25,000 Pa against the Roborock’s 18,500 Pa and costs about $50 less, at $499.98 versus $549.99 (Amazon listings, Oct 16, 2026).

Testers split on them. The Qrevo S Pro beat the average in stain tests by about 40 points, according to Vacuum Wars, a YouTube channel that buys and lab-tests robot vacuums, though its rubber brush struggled with hair. Jamie Andrews, a YouTuber who reviews robot vacuums, noted the L40 Gen 2 jumped to 25,000 Pa from 11,000 Pa on Gen 1 but dropped some Gen 1 features.

Both ranked in the top 10 of Amazon Best Sellers in Robotic Vacuums that day, at #4 and #7.

Which One Should You Buy?

On paper the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 lists more suction (25,000 vs 18,500 Pa), an extending mop and brush, and up to 231 minutes in Quiet Mode, at about $50 less. The Roborock Qrevo S Pro lists a 167°F hot-water mop wash, a 3.8 in height and a 55 dB noise level.

Testers split on them. The YouTube channel Vacuum Wars found the Qrevo S Pro a strong mopper with a weaker vacuum on hair. Reviewers of the L40 Gen 2 criticized its mopping and the features Dreame removed from Gen 1. If mopping matters most, lean Qrevo S Pro. If you want raw suction and corner reach for the price, lean L40 Gen 2, and consider the optional TriCut brush the YouTube channel Jamie Andrews recommends for hair.

My Planned Test

Planned test: if I get both robots, I plan to run each one on the same floor plan and test mess, then compare pickup, mopping, hair wrap and how often each one gets stuck. I will add my results and my Home Smart video here when they are done. Until then, nothing on this page is a hands-on claim from me.

What YouTube Reviewers Found About Each Robot

These findings are paraphrased from the video transcripts and credited to each creator. They are the creators’ own test results and opinions, not mine.

  • Vacuum Wars bought a Qrevo S Pro and called the mop its best feature: it beat the average in their stain tests by about 40 points, and the 10 mm mop lift lets it clean mixed floors in one run.
  • In the same Vacuum Wars test, the single rubber brush struggled with hair. It removed only 43% of flattened 2.5-inch hair from carpet, and 62% of the hair wrapped around the brush in their 7-inch tangle test.
  • Jamie Andrews noted the L40 Ultra Gen 2 jumps to a 25,000 Pa rating from 11,000 Pa on Gen 1, adds Matter support and launched at a much lower price than Gen 1.
  • He also said Dreame removed features from Gen 1: the RGB camera (Gen 2 uses a structured-light sensor), the built-in voice assistant, the side-brush lift and the included detergent tank, which is sold separately.
  • Just A Dad Approved lived with the L40 Gen 2 for 3 months (63 cleaning cycles). He liked the easy setup and hot-water mop washing but rated the mopping poorly, said it got stuck on U-shaped chair legs, and gave it a “skip it”. He noted its parts match the MOVA P10 Pro, so replacement parts are cheap.
