In the Shark AI Ultra vs Roborock Q10 matchup, the Roborock Q10 S5+ is the pick if you want mopping, and the Shark AI Ultra is the pick for vacuum-only cleaning with no bags to buy. They cost almost the same: $269.99 for the Shark and $279.98 for the Roborock (Amazon listings, Oct 16, 2026).
The Q10 S5+ scored 96% in carpet deep cleaning and 96% in pet-hair pickup, according to Vacuum Wars, a YouTube channel that buys and lab-tests robot vacuums, though it avoided only 6 of 24 obstacles. The Shark mapped well and picked up a lot of dog hair for Just A Dad Approved, a YouTube channel that reviews home gadgets, which scored it 88/100.
The Shark was #1 in Amazon Best Sellers in Robotic Vacuums that day.

Which One Should You Buy?
The Shark AI Ultra (AV2511AE) ($269.99) is vacuum-only with a bagless base, so there are no bags to buy. The Roborock Q10 S5+ ($279.98) adds a vibrating mop with an 8 mm carpet lift and uses disposable 2.7 L bags.
In the tests I found, the Q10 S5+ posted top-tier carpet and pet-hair numbers at the YouTube channel Vacuum Wars, but obstacle avoidance was weak. The Shark mapped well and handled dog hair in the YouTube channel Just A Dad Approved’s test, but it won’t avoid low objects. Want mopping? Get the Q10 S5+. Want vacuum-only with no bags? Get the Shark.
My Planned Test
Planned test: if I get both robots, I plan to run each one on the same floor plan and test mess, then compare pickup, mopping, hair wrap and how often each one gets stuck. I will add my results and my Home Smart video here when they are done. Until then, nothing on this page is a hands-on claim from me.
What YouTube Reviewers Found in Their Tests
These findings are paraphrased from the video transcripts and credited to each creator. They are the creators’ own test results and opinions, not mine.
- Just A Dad Approved said the Shark AI Ultra maps the house well, picked up a lot of dog hair and debris in his test, and ran at about 63–64 dB. He scored it 88/100.
- His cautions: the bagless base filter gets dirty and is messy to clean, the robot won’t avoid low objects like pet waste or cables (use no-go zones), and the Shark app is basic. On a schedule he said it finished and docked about 9 out of 10 times.
- Vacuum Wars measured the Q10 S5+ with the 4th-highest suction of the 150+ robots they have bench-tested. It scored 96% in their carpet deep-clean test and 96% in flattened pet-hair pickup.
- In Vacuum Wars’ 7-inch hair test, the Q10 S5+ comb brush removed 100% of the hair. Its single vibrating mop scored just above average while using about half the usual water.
- The weak spots, per Vacuum Wars: it avoided only 6 of 24 obstacles, and its dock does not wash or dry the mop.
