UYODM 3-in-1 Light Socket Adapter Review: Add a 3-Prong Outlet to Any Light Fixture

I tested the UYODM 3-in-1 light socket outlet adapter on a living room lamp with my balloon inflator. Here’s the setup, my test, the specs, and safe uses.

Garages, porches, and patios almost always have a light fixture, but not always an outlet where you need it. A light socket adapter turns that fixture into a power source without calling an electrician.

I was sent the UYODM 3-in-1 Light Socket Adapter and tested it with a standing lamp in my living room. This video was originally posted on my Ryzzun YouTube channel.

In this UYODM light socket adapter review, I’ll cover what it is, the specs, the key features, how I tested it, the pros and cons, who it’s for, and some common questions.

What Is the UYODM 3-in-1 Light Socket Adapter?

The UYODM 3-in-1 Light Socket Adapter screws into a standard E26/E27 light bulb socket like a regular bulb. In return, it gives you a three-prong outlet and a new bulb socket, so you keep your light and gain a place to plug something in.

UYODM points out that most light socket adapters only offer a two-prong outlet. This one takes both two-prong polarized plugs and three-prong plugs, and it comes on a short extension cable, so you can plug in from any direction.

How I Tested It

Setup

Setup was super easy. I just screwed it into the lamp socket like a regular bulb, and right away it gave me both a working light and a three-prong outlet.

My Balloon Inflator Test

To test it, I plugged in my balloon inflator, and it worked perfectly. The inflator powered up immediately, and when I held a balloon over the nozzle, it started filling up fast. The airflow was steady, and each balloon inflated in just seconds. No issues whatsoever.

The Extension Cord

The 7-inch extension cord made it really convenient to move the inflator around without tugging on the socket or the cord.

Safety Tips

These come from UYODM’s listing and are worth following:

  • Stay under 800W: check your device’s wattage before plugging in. It’s not meant for high-power appliances.
  • Your fixture’s switch controls it: if the light switch is off, the outlet is off too.
  • Light-duty only: it’s best for small devices, holiday lights, cameras, and temporary power.

Things to Consider Before Buying

  • 800W limit: no space heaters or other high-wattage appliances.
  • Switch dependent: power follows the light switch.
