My Planned Test

Planned test: I plan to track a year of real filter and electricity costs for my main purifier and update this table. I will add my results and my Home Smart video here when they are done. Until then, nothing on this page is a hands-on claim from me.

What YouTube Reviewers Found About Value Picks

These findings are paraphrased from the video transcripts and credited to each creator. They are the creators’ own test results and opinions, not mine.

  • The YouTube channel Harry B (best for home, 2026): his #1 pick was the Levoit Vital 200S-P, which he priced at about $200 at filming, for smart features and performance. His #2 was the smaller Blueair Blue Pure 511i Max at under $150.
  • HouseFresh: at the fastest speed under 45 dB, the Vital cleaned its test room in 46 minutes, 14 minutes faster than the Winix. It measured the Winix 15% louder at top speed and estimated the Vital 33% cheaper to run each year, so it named the Vital the clear winner.
  • Project Farm (buys every product it tests): the Winix 5510 (about $180) came out on top overall. In a 30-minute smoke test it removed 3.9 million particles, versus 3.52 million for the original Coway Mighty (about $229) and 3.18 million for a Dyson (about $1,200). Its one downside was noise, about 63.1 dB on high.
  • Consumer Analysis (Blue Pure 211i Max): about 410 CFM of airflow at under 16 lb, very good energy efficiency and low noise for that airflow (68.2 dB on high). It rated coverage at roughly 500 sq ft.
  • HouseFresh: the Max2 filter costs $69.99 and Coway says to replace it every 12 months. At 49.12 W on top speed, HouseFresh estimated $145.94 a year to run it 24/7 at full speed. There is no app, but it works with a smart plug, and Coway offers a 3-year warranty.
