Deposit Cash Money into Coinbase Account

Welcome back to the Money Mastery Series! Today, I’ll show you how to easily deposit and transfer money USD Cash into your Coinbase account so you can start buying Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

Step 1: Access Payment Settings  

1. Open your Coinbase account.  

2. Click on the grid icon at the top of the screen.  

3. Navigate to Profile and Settings.  

4. Scroll down and select Add a Payment Method.  

Step 2: Add Your Payment Method  

1. Choose Debit Card as your payment option (or select another method like bank account, PayPal, or wire transfer).  

2. Enter your debit card details and click Add Card.  

Step 3: Verify Your Debit Card  

1. Coinbase will make two small deposits to your debit card to verify the account.  

2. Once the deposits appear on your statement (e.g., $1.15 and $1.10), enter these amounts into Coinbase.  

3. Click Verify Card.  

You’ll see a confirmation message: Congratulations, your account has been successfully added.  

Step 4: Deposit Money into Coinbase  

1. Go back to your Coinbase account.  

2. Select your newly added debit card as the payment method (or choose another option like a bank account).  

3. Enter the amount you want to deposit—in this case, $5.00 USD.  

4. Preview the transaction details, noting the small transaction fee (e.g., $0.13 for $5).  

5. Confirm the deposit.  

You’ll receive a message: Your transfer request was sent. We’ll notify you when the transfer is complete.  

Step 5: Use Your Funds to Buy Crypto  

Once the deposit is complete, you can use the funds in your USD Wallet to purchase Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.  

1. Select Bitcoin (or any crypto) in the Coinbase app.  

2. Choose your USD Wallet as the payment source.  

3. Review your order and confirm the purchase.
