How to Send Bitcoin to External Wallet on Cash App

Welcome back to the Money Mastery Series! Today, I’ll walk you through the process of sending Bitcoin from your Cash App account to your PayPal wallet—or any external wallet. For this example, we’ll focus on PayPal.

Step 1: Access Bitcoin in Your Cash App

  1. Open your Cash App account and navigate to the Money section.
  2. Tap on Bitcoin.
  3. In the Bitcoin section, click on the up and down arrows to access the “Send Bitcoin” option.

I currently have $9.66 worth of Bitcoin, but for this demonstration, I’ll send $5.28 worth.

Step 2: Get Your Bitcoin Wallet Address in PayPal

  1. Open your PayPal account.
  2. Go to the Crypto section and click Receive.
  3. Choose Bitcoin (BTC) from the list of supported cryptocurrencies.
  4. Copy your Bitcoin wallet address.

Step 3: Send Bitcoin from Cash App to PayPal

  1. Return to your Cash App and paste the copied address into the designated field.
  2. Verify that the address is correct, as it will populate as the Bitcoin wallet address.
  3. Click Next to proceed.

Step 4: Select a Delivery Speed

You’ll see three delivery options:

  • Priority (within 10 minutes): Fee = $3.78
  • Rush (under 2 hours): Fee = $2.09
  • Standard (within 24 hours): Free (minimum BTC transfer of 0.001 BTC required).

For this demonstration, I selected Priority and paid the $3.78 fee.

  • Confirm the details, select Withdraw to External Wallet, and finalize the transaction.

Step 5: Confirm Receipt in PayPal

Within approximately 10 minutes (Priority delivery), the Bitcoin transfer will complete. You’ll receive a confirmation email from PayPal. Check your account to see the BTC amount, which, in my case, was $5.27 (after fees).

Bitcoin Market Update

At the time of this video, Bitcoin is trading at $88,176.37, down slightly from an all-time high of over $90,000 per BTC.
