Whether you’re looking to cash out your investments or just want to sell a specific stock, this tutorial will help you navigate the process of selling shares within your Cash App Account.

  1. Open Cash App on your mobile device.
  2. Locate the Investing tab at the bottom of the screen, represented by a small chart icon with a Bitcoin symbol next to it. Tap on this tab.
  3. You will be taken to the Investing page, where you can view your portfolio of stocks and cryptocurrencies.
  4. Scroll down to the “My Portfolio” section and locate the stock or ETF you wish to sell. Tap on the desired stock.
  5. You will be taken to the stock’s page, where you have the option to buy more or sell the stock. Tap the “Sell” button.
  6. Choose the amount of stock you’d like to sell. You can select a predetermined amount, sell your entire position, or enter a specific amount by tapping the three dots. In this example, we will sell our entire position.
  7. Tap “Next” and enter your four-digit Cash App pin code to authorize the transaction.
  8. Review the sell order details, including the approximate share price, total sale amount, and total proceeds. If everything looks correct, tap “Confirm.”
  9. A checkmark will appear, indicating that your sell order has been successful. Tap “Done” to complete the process.
  10. To view your updated cash balance, tap on the Cash tab located in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. The proceeds from your sale will now appear in your cash balance.
