Ninja Slushi Review (2026): Is the $299 Slushie Machine Worth It?

This Ninja Slushi review finds the machine turns nearly any drink with enough sugar into slush with no ice or blender, according to Bob Diff, a YouTube reviewer who paid $300 for his unit and tested it with a family of nine (Bob Diff, “Ninja Slushi Review – Is This Slushy Machine Worthy of the Viral Hype?”). He called it “extremely easy to use” and said the price is “somewhat justified” next to comparable machines.

Freakin’ Reviews, a YouTube channel whose Slushi test has passed a million views, also paid $300 and found it easy to use, easy to clean, well made and fairly quiet, with price as its one main drawback (Freakin’ Reviews, “Ninja Slushi Review: Does This Slushie Maker Work?”). Batches took about 12 to 45 minutes in their tests; Ninja quotes 15 to 60 minutes. The original FS301 listed at $299.00 on Amazon on October 16, 2026.

Caramel coffee frappe (started lukewarm, about 110°F)FrappeAbout 15 min“Spot on,” as good as a coffee shop
Apple cider (small batch)SlushAbout 25 minHis favorite; small batches pour more slowly
Chocolate milkshakeMilkshake38 minSolid, drinkable with a thick straw
Costco mango juice blendFrozen juice, then slush23 min, then rerunToo thin at first; perfect after the slush setting
Root beer, Coke, grape sodaSlushNot timedRoot beer needed a lower temperature setting; others fine on default

Setup is simple: nothing to assemble, just wash the condensation catch, auger, vessel and two-part drip tray (Bob Diff, “Ninja Slushi Review – Is This Slushy Machine Worthy of the Viral Hype?”). A full 64-oz batch makes four or five drinks and takes about 45 minutes, so his family of nine runs it twice. When the machine was tilted too far while pouring the last of a thick batch, it shut off with warning lights; he assumes it’s a safety feature, and it worked normally after a restart.

Freakin’ Reviews’ Test Results

Freakin’ Reviews tried all five presets with half-size (two to three serving) batches from Ninja’s recipe guide (Freakin’ Reviews, “Ninja Slushi Review: Does This Slushie Maker Work?”).

  • Soda slush (24 oz Coke): thick at about 15 minutes and dispensed at almost 20, with a texture “exactly like you would expect from the convenience store.” It never beeped on this batch.
  • Margarita (spiked slush): beeped at about 18 minutes; “about as good as the average margarita.”
  • Coffee frappé: raising the thickness two levels roughly doubled the time to about 30 minutes, but he preferred the thicker result.
  • Chocolate milkshake: beeped at 20 minutes, five minutes early, with a texture he called “absolutely perfect.”
  • Frozen juice: about 12 1/2 minutes on the lowest setting; cranked to the highest, it took about an hour and 25 minutes and came out almost solid.

He found it quiet enough to talk over, noticed warm air from the back, and measured about 7 inches between the spout and drip tray, which limits glass height (Freakin’ Reviews, “Ninja Slushi Review: Does This Slushie Maker Work?”).

Ninja Slushi Review: Tips From the Testers

Ninja Slushi vs Alternatives

In a head-to-head by NOOB’S KITCHEN, a YouTube kitchen-gadget channel that bought both, Ninja’s newer Slushi Max slushed 24 oz of juice in about 8.5 minutes versus 14 for the original, and finished a rosé prosecco in 8.5 minutes versus about 30 (NOOB’S KITCHEN, “Ninja Slushie MAX vs Slushi — I Tested EVERYTHING (Speed, Noise, Cleanup)”). The original was quieter, about 63 dB versus 74 dB, smaller, and takes a 16-oz minimum batch versus 24 oz.
